At the Law Office of Nicholas J. Muscarello,

Drug manufacturing charges in Louisiana are prosecuted aggressively. Once convicted of any type of drug manufacturing charge, at a minimum you can expect to serve at least two years in prison and pay fines of upwards of $50,000. The time and penalties are increased depending on how the drugs are classified. For example, if you are found guilty of manufacturing Schedule II drugs, which are typically considered methamphetamines or amphetamines, or nearly any other narcotic with the exception of cocaine, you can expect to spend two years in prison at a minimum, and potentially up to 30 years.

Keep in mind, any drug charge convictions involve hard labor. The more dangerous the drug involved, the higher the sentencing and the steeper the fines. It is also important to note that nearly all drug crimes are considered felonies and therefore may impact your ability to secure employment or housing in the future.

Being arrested on any drug manufacturing charge is extremely serious and requires the immediate assistance of a skilled drug defense attorney. If you or someone you love has been arrested and charged with drug manufacturing, call the Law Office of Nicholas J. Muscarello at (985) 345-1010 immediately for assistance.
